Anyone who had anything purple (or got the facebook message about Purple Day) was supposed to come to school today dressed in it. Purple shirt, dress, socks, tie, whatever.
Truth be told, I was pretty surprised by the amount of people who did. More than I had previously imagined.
Friday's gonna be "Dia da Consciência Negra", a holiday exlusively for São Paulo. So no school for us on Thursday and Friday.
We had our occasional Headmaster assemblies this morning. Guess what it was about? That's right! Dia da Consciênia Negra. We had a humanities professor come in and she gave us a talk about the origins of the holiday.
